How to Report an Error

- Your name and relationship to the subject, when relevant

How We Review Correction Requests
We assess the original claim, the sources used, the date and context of publication, and any evidence submitted. When appropriate, we consult official documentation, primary sources, archived pages, subject specialists, or the original writer.
Submitting a request does not guarantee a change. We may decline requests based only on disagreement, preference, unsupported assertions, promotional interests, or attempts to remove accurate information.
Types of Changes
Corrections
A correction addresses a factual error that could affect a reader’s understanding or decision. Depending on its significance, we may revise the text and add a dated correction note explaining what changed.
Clarifications
A clarification may be added when the original wording was factually supportable but incomplete, ambiguous, or likely to be misunderstood. A note may be included when the clarification materially changes how the passage should be interpreted.
Updates
An update reflects information that changed after publication, such as a software feature, product specification, company policy, price, availability, or security development. Updates are not necessarily corrections because the original information may have been accurate when published.
Minor Edits
Spelling, punctuation, formatting, broken links, or stylistic wording may be corrected without a formal note when the meaning is unchanged.
Retractions or Removal
In rare cases, TechMezz may retract or remove content that is substantially unreliable, unlawful, unsafe, duplicated, or impossible to correct adequately. When appropriate and legally permissible, we may leave an explanatory notice at the original URL.
Correction Notes and Dates
Significant corrections should be described clearly and placed where readers can reasonably see them. A correction note may identify the previous error and the accurate information without repeating harmful personal data unnecessarily.
A displayed “last updated” date should reflect a meaningful content revision, not a cosmetic change made only to make an article appear recent.
Complaints About Opinions or Reviews
Reviews and analysis may include editorial judgment. We will correct inaccurate facts, undisclosed conflicts, or misleading descriptions, but we do not normally alter a good-faith opinion merely because a person or company disagrees with it.
